This brush is fully biodegradable and made from vegan and sustainable materials. A dish brush with plastic bristles can shed hairs that can end up in the ocean, the bristles on this brush are plant-based and 100% biodegradable.

A natural dish brush with Tampico fibre bristles. Tampico is a very robust fibre from the yellow leaf of the agave cactus, which grows only in the highlands of northern Mexico. Tampico has great water-retaining properties, is resistant and hard-wearing, and keeps its shape without softening.
The handle is made from FSC® certified beech wood.
Please allow the brush to dry completely in between uses.
The brush head is replaceable. To change the head of a dish brush, release the metal clip.

Usage time & recycling
Generally up to 1 year.
Although natural dish brushes have a longer lifespan than their plastic alternatives, they won’t last forever. So you need to use it properly and store dish brush well. When retiring a natural dish brush, there are two main options.
You can easily recycle a wooden dish brush by giving it a new purpose. Perhaps it is no longer fit for cleaning dishes, but can still be used to clean things like bathrooms or shoes. If the bristles are worn down, the wood can be salvageable for other projects.
If recycling a wooden dish brush doesn’t seem like the right option, then it is best to compost it instead. While any metal parts should be removed and recycled separately, the rest of any natural dish brush can go directly into a compost bin.
Best way to clean
Dishwasher: You can run them through a cycle in the dishwasher on the top rack.

Natural dish brushes are also a cleaner option than plastic alternatives due to the antibacterial properties of the wood that they are made of. While plastic brushes and sponges can harbor bacterial growth, natural brushes don’t offer the same environment. Keeping your natural dish brush bacteria-free is as easy as letting it dry.
Lastly, natural brushes are sturdy and tend to have a longer life than plastic brushes.

We offer standard 30 days return policy. Please contact us at contact@modden.co.uk if you would like to return or exchange your items, we can arrange a collection from your home so you don't have to worry about having to go anywhere to post it back to us.
